I spent years perfecting my own chocolate chip cookie recipe, and in the process I accidentally created the perfect cookie dough.

My goal was to create a chocolate chip cookie that's soft and chewy with edges that are just ever so slightly crispy.

When I did finally perfect the recipe I was blown away, not just because the recipe is flavorful with the exact texture I wanted, but because it's so easy to make and doesn't even require a stand mixer or chilling the dough!

And that's when I realized... I hadn't just created the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe; I had created the perfect base cookie dough to use for loads of flavor combinations!
